The gazetteer project is a information gathering application that allows the user to find out information about specific countries. It uses leaflet.js to display the map and then calls 5 different APIs to get the information that is needed The user can select a country by clicking on it or by choosing it from the dropdown menu. It has five buttons music, currency, information, wikipedia articles, weather and the address of where the pin is. It also features pins that show where the hospitals, museums, capital and airports are.

I partnered with a bakery and café in Manchester as a volunteer to rebuild their website. While they were satisfied with the existing design, they tasked me with improving its functionality and user experience while not losing the original design. Despite the project's large requirements and small timeframe to complete, I successfully managed to design and implement both a frontend and backend system. I integrated a Postgres database and developed an admin portal to manage orders and products. This database also received customer enquiries and email addresses. I also integrated a secure payment system through stripe. In the end the website had 12 pages that I was very proud to have created. The client was very pleased with the results. However, before it can replace the original , several additional features are planned. These include an instant messaging system, a mobile app for instant order notifications, as well as advanced analytics. The analytics system will help track user behaviour, such as which pages, products, or cakes customers viewed before making purchasing decisions, allowing the bakery to further optimise their website. Going forward I will be giving a few hours on my weekend to complete this functionality for them.

The Company Directory was my final project that I completed for IT Online Learning. I was asked to fix a partially completed and abandoned app from a previous developer. I had to quickly understand the code, structure and learn to write in the style of the previous developer. It was initially challenging to use these unfamiliar techniques, the experience improved my ability to read, refactor, and integrate into legacy code. The result is a database application that features full CRUD capabilities allowing users to easily manage personnel, departments, and locations tables alongside a dynamic search and filter.

This was a basic project I did in my spare time. My friends came up with a complicated world cup sweepstake where you would each have three teams and get points based on where you were in the tournament so I decided I would create an app to stop everyone taking hours inputting data into a excel spreadsheet. The requirements changed overtime and although very basic I'm happy with how it turned out.
